About the Team

The people who actually test SIM cards, ATMs, and apps inside Morocco - so the answers you read are checked by someone who's been there.

Who Verifies This Site

Start Morocco Travel is a small, independent project. The directory is researched and maintained by a founder working with a couple of Morocco-based contributors who test services on the ground. Nobody pays to be listed, and no status is for sale.

Ed Flood

Founder & Lead Editor

Founded Start Morocco Travel in early 2026 out of frustration with scattered, outdated travel advice. Researches every service listing, writes the tourist verdicts, and cross-checks official sources, traveler reports, and AI-assisted research before anything goes live.

✅ Reviews every listing before publish

Yassine El Amrani

Local Verification Lead · Marrakech

Based in Marrakech, Yassine tests SIM cards, eSIMs, ATMs, and ride-hailing apps across Morocco every month. He confirms which networks actually deliver data at the airport, which ATMs accept international cards, and what a fair taxi fare really is.

✅ Verifies SIM / ATM / app info monthly

Salma Bennani

Payments & Connectivity Researcher · Casablanca

Casablanca-based, Salma focuses on money and connectivity: which international cards work at point of sale, whether Wise and Revolut clear at local ATMs, and how eSIM providers perform in practice. She re-checks payment services whenever a bank changes its rules.

✅ Re-checks payment services regularly

How We Work

Every listing is checked against our published verification methodology - testing process, frequency, and what triggers a re-check. If you spot something out of date, every service card has a "Flag as outdated" link that emails us directly.
